Proud sister

Despite being incredibly proud of  my baby sisters, this summer has reinforced that pride I have for them.

Camille, my 17 year old amazing sister graduated from high school and in a months time turned into the most amazing young lady.   She has gotten accepted into an accelerated program at RCC, but she didn't place into the proper math class.  So what did she do?  She took a summer math class and worked her ass off.  She spend hours ever night on math math math.  I know, eww math. But she did it!

Not only that, but this summer my sisters are forced to go to their father's house for almost a month's time.  For some people this would seem like no problem, but for anyone who know's Lloyd (No, we do not use his real name even around the house as he is not worthy of even a name), this is HELL for a month.   The man is unworthy of the air he breathes and a complete monster.   Camille, being graduated, legally no longer has to go to his house, however she refuses to let Calle and Gracie face him alone so she endures hell with Lloyd for them.   What am amazing big sister.

Calle is such a young lady.  She had to go to summer school for Geometry and got one of the top grades in her class.  She is smart and lovely and doesn't subscribe to the drama that accompanies high school.  Not only that, when she took her permit test she got 100%!!!  Amazing.  Too bad that doesn't translate to her actual driving.  haha.

Gracie is growing up so fast.   While we are in the throws of the "tween" age drama, she surprised me a  few months back.   She wanted to give one of her friends a kidney.   She selflessly wanted to undergo surgery to give one of her friends something she might have needed.  Thank God Hbear didn't need one and is absolutely healthy, but I'm still so proud of Gracie for that want to help someone who is so important to her.

Overall I have a lot to be proud of.   We have all been through so much in our lives, but in the last two years since being liberated from Lloyd, my sisters have grown into the most amazing young women.   Every time I look at them I cannot contain the love and pride I hold for them.  <3

My Baby Sister

My baby sister Camille is graduating this week.   I cannot believe it.  With that, I have a few things I want to tell her:

Camille,

You have grown up so much in the last 17.5 years.  I cannot believe all of the things we have been through together.  I still remember when we shared  a room at the Visalia house, I remember when mommy was pregnant with you, and we called you baby noodles.   I remember Jordan wanted to name you batman.  :)

I remember how we used to get on each others nerves, and the phases we have both gone through.  In everything, I'd like for you to know a few things; I am so very proud of you.  You have grown into such an amazing and wonderful young lady these past 17 years.   You have been through more trials than any person of your age deserves to go through, but you have come out strong.  Our family has the most amazing bond after all we have been through.  I know what no matter what happens in our lives, I will always have you and mom and the girls.

As you leave high school here is a bit of advice from a big sister who has been through this before.  Go to college.  Follow your dreams and do not let anyone stop you.  Do not let anyone stand in your way, or tell you that you won't make it, or that you will be "flipping burgers" forever.  You have the potential to do amazing things.  You are smart and I know for a fact that whatever you put your mind to, you will accomplish.  Just make sure that you take those dreams and run with them.   It will not be easy, and no one is going to hand you what you think you are entitled to.  Going to school and taking care of yourself is hard.  I've been there, and believe me, there are days that I am so bitter and resentful of all I went through, but in the end, I can say that I did it myself.  No one paid for me, no one helped me, my degree, my life, my future is mine and mine alone.   Remember that on the days when things feel overwhelming, and you don't know how you are going to keep going.   Remember that you are strong, and in many cases stronger than I was, and you can do this.  And you have a big sister who will always be on your side.

I want you to know that you are a smart, and caring person.  You are trustworthy and quite the character and I could not be more proud to have you as my sister and as a best friend.  I love you Camille.   Manete Valide.  Together we are all strong.

- your incredibly proud big sister.

stuff my sisters say...

So some days I worry about my families sanity.  These kids are eight kinds of crazy.  So tonight at Casa de la Awesome (awww hell yeahh) things took a turn for the WTF.

"you know that Ankle shit..." The girls were showing us their secret handshake.   Camille screams "Ankle Shit" then proceeds to kick Calle in the shins.  Calle was apparently supposed to jump and "high five" ankles with Cam.  Didn't work that well.

"By the way, that cup was dirty... it had little floaties in it.... I just drank around them" Camille yells that after she just guzzled all the juice out of it.  Okay that makes sense right?

"This hamburger is giving me a heart attack.... my life is flashing before my eyes"  Calle, as she stuffs burger back into her face.

"She has a box of herself."- About Camille's box of pictures

Yeah, that's supposed to be a self portrait of Camille.
"I remember him!!!!" - D.... "It was me... a girl"  Me looking at this picture of camille's art project in Kindergarden.  Ooops.

Camille and Calle
"Aye!  Look at this sexy mofo!" Calle about Camille in a kid swim suit.

"Let me see... is she eating cereal"  "yeah"  Apparently all I ever do is eat cereal and there are a ton of pictures of me as a kid eating cereal.
