The stupid story: Why my ex is my ex: A guest post by my dear friend Dan, who is nuts.
Today my friends and I were sitting outside, having our coffee and Daniel regaled us with he story of his cat... Here it is in his own words.
"I was in between jobs and my ex (because she obviously knows my life better than I do), told me that I needed a friend... I said NO! So that obviously meant that it was definitely happening because with girls "No" means "Yes please!" (In the world of girl consent for anything but sex, no means yes... such is the nature of relationships).
So here is where it gets good... So we head off to the PetSmart to get me a beta fish... and we walk out with a damn cat... Yes, a cat. How we made a leap from a fish to a mammal is beyond me to this day.

All Aboard the Moon Train
Today I learned that a man has actually "claimed" the moon and thinks he owns it. (he's making tons of money off this, by the way.)
Through this site, you can actually buy property on the moon in acre parcels. In FACT, you can also buy acres on Mars, Venus... and some others. For the low low price of $29.99 plus lunar tax!
So this has presented a few questions between Lisa, Ryan and I:

Happy One Year to Mr. and Mrs. Edge!
Today I had the opportunity to join the celebration of ONE YEAR of marriage for two of my best friends Cianna and Darren Edge! One year ago we were participating in one of the most fun and special weddings I have been to. These two are such an inspiration of love and friendship and a Godly relationship and marriage. I am so blessed to have been able to celebrate not only their special day, but also their anniversary and many more with them.
What a great way to spend a Sunday!

Count your blessings...
On days/weeks/months when times are hard, and things are getting me down, I can't help but remember what my best friend said one day in passing. ... Sit down and name 10 things you are thankful for.
While I have a million things that I am thankful for,
Today I will start with five (in no particular order):
1. My Gram. This woman raised me essentially. She is my emotional and mental support. I still crawl into her lap and cry hysterically when things get too tough. She is my push and my "kick in the butt" (yes, she actually can still kick me in the butt). This woman came to American in her early 20's with a small child, knowing NO english, and taught herself the language, raised a slew of kids and foster kids and put up with my stubborn grandfather. She is the strongest woman I know.
2. My sisters. These three are my life. I feel like I am their mother. I essentially raised them and I have the fiercest love for them. I literally would die to keep them safe. They are my babies and my loves.
3. My best friends. I have some amazing friends who keep me in check and I can go to with my stupid thoughts, my stupid problems and my silly shenanigans. They are the friends that have seen me at my best and worst.
4. My boyfriend. This man is a huge blessing. He has come into my life at such a perfect time and for such a perfect reason. He is an amazing shoulder to cry on, and knows what to say and what I need when things get tough. And he still cares for me, even when I make a mess with the tooth paste or leave my clothes all over the floor.
5. Law School. My God has blessed me with this school. I always said "no trinity, I want a bigger school, a secular school, etc" but then God opened my eyes and showed me this was EXACTLY where He wanted me. This is the place that I will fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. This is the place that will lay the foundation, one of hope, and helping and knowing that I am nothing without God guiding me. Even when school is hard, and I am having my meltdowns, I have to remember that this is my dream and my passion and I have all of these amazing people holding me up.

Obligatory Reflection of 2013
On the eve of a new year means obviously one thing... obligatory reflection post. Buckle up kiddos!
2013... it's been fun but I'm about done with you. This past year has been one filled with a few mile stones but nothing compared to what 2014 holds.
A year in review:
March:
Sister Trip with Grace
Fun with the girls from work... This year I made a new best friend. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to get to know you Erin!
April:
My amazing cousin moved back in! (Let the party start)
Calle's First Prom
May:
Trip to Atlanta and Brave's Stadium.
Camille started her first job... she hates me taking photos.
July:
Gram turned 91! She is my inspiration.
Mom got her doctorate
August:
Gina stopped dressing WACK! (Shoutout to my cousin Gina who is CRAZY)
Got first apartment.
September:
Grace Erin starts high school!
Calle Jane starts her senior year!
My cousin Ali Graduates and gets accepted to a prestigious science program for college!
October:
Conquered the LSAT
November:
Got accepted to Law School!
Calle gets first college acceptance letters.
December:
We found out my Cousin TINA's PREGO!
Overall there are a million more things that happened that I am so very thankful for, but I am getting bored writing this because I take too many photos and have so many stories and so many good things in life that I cannot continue to post more. As great at 2013 was, 2014 will be better yet.
Happy New Year.
